Introduction

Introduction-First post

Friends and family say things. Some ask who will be the next loudmouth to defend freedom. Some point out that until they hear about current events through the grapevine that they don't know about them. They tell me that I have a gift for explaining and distilling complexity into accessibility.

I recently had a friend ask me to define fascism for her. I helped her to understand what it is and hopefully how to identify it in the future. During the conversation I mentioned the Russian anti-gay education law. She didn't know about it and frankly she should have. It's an issue that she would have felt strongly about except that, well, she didn't know about it.

Usually my posts will not be this introspective and personal. This is, however, an introduction and I will approach it freely. This is a handshake, a get-to-know-you. A first cup of coffee.

Here are my rules:
1)Anonymity: You, my friends, family, and sources of inspiration, will remain anonymous. Published sources will be referenced but personal relationships will be protected. I might refer to conversations we have had but I won't say who said what.

2)I will go right ahead and talk freely about my politics and philosophies. This is another reason for the anonymity. I will be openly critical and radical. I'm feeling pretty radical these days.

I might add more later.
